Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ), Student Communities protested the massacre being carried out in Palestine. The community members gathered within the campus, made a press statement, and sent a message of support to the people of Gaza with Palestinian and Turkish flags.
Reading the press statement on behalf of the Student Communities, the President of the Yeniler Club Community, Turkey Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) Burdur University Coordinator Kemal Çapa emphasized in the press statement that the international community must rise up as a whole, this oppression must end, and a "new era" must be declared urgently.
In the press statement, which said, "Palestine has become a symbol of resistance," the reaction was summarized with the following words;
"The oppression that has been ongoing for 365 days began on October 7, 2023, in Palestinian territories and still continues. Thousands of innocent people have perished under Israel's bombs. The international community must rise against this oppression, and Western countries must not only condemn but also provide real support. We must be a stronger voice for Palestine, we must grow the resistance.
Israel's occupation and massacres in Palestinian territories have continued to intensify over the past year. While the blood of innocent people is shed in Jerusalem, Gaza, and the West Bank, international silence legitimizes this oppression. Many Western countries, while claiming human rights, ignore this atrocity and protect Israel.
Palestine has become a symbol of resistance echoing around the world. The pain of Palestine is the pain of all humanity. The voice of resistance must spread to the world, unity of the ummah must be achieved. Economic sanctions are our strongest weapon against Israel. We must strengthen the boycott by increasing our own production. We will destroy the exploitative system they rely on.
This cause will envelop the world with the voice of justice. We will continue to raise our voices until Palestine is liberated. Victory is near, it belongs to the believers. From the river to the sea, free Palestine will exist!
Remember, victory is certain in the cause of truth."
